Serving our client´s personal needs
Generally we provide full representation for our clients and are responsible for every aspect of our clients' cases.
However, in appropriate cases, we will provide limited legal services for our clients. In the legal world these are referred to as "unbundled services." Some attorneys will not do this because attorneys are trained to provide zealous and full representation, not limited representation. However, with the proper clarification we believe this is an important way for us to provide legal services while limiting expenses. For example, when clients have reached their own settlements we can limit our role to drafting documents. When clients wish to draft their own documents, we can limit our role to education regarding the process and forms to use.
We will meet with a client and the client´s unrepresented spouse in most circumstances. Some attorneys will not do this. This may allow our clients to settle their cases without the expense of two attorneys. Of course, we clarify that we are not representing both spouses. We also encourage the unrepresented spouse to have another attorney review our work. Whether that occurs or not is the choice of the unrepresented spouse.
We work to provide legal services for our clients that suit their personal needs.
