We are Educators

We have focused on family law for over twenty years and know the law. Family law is a complicated mix of federal and state laws, court decisions, and local practice and customs. As it changes, we stay current with the changes.

Perhaps more than in any other area of law, there are few "black and white" rules. It is in the many shades of gray that family law decisions are made. What may seem like the same issue in two cases may be resolved very different ways based on one small difference. It is our responsibility to educate our clients abut those differences.

A family law case can involve elements of almost every other areas of law, such as bankruptcy, business law, corporate law, criminal law, estate law, immigration law, intellectual property law, personal injury law, real estate, tax law, and other areas of the law. It is common for us to work with another lawyer when the issues in these areas are serious or complicated. This is necessary so that we and our clients become better educated in these areas.

We believe that our clients make good decisions when they are educated about the law. That is why we take our role as educators of family law very seriously.
